Dr. Sean M. Leahy stands at the intersection of technology, learning, and the future. As Foresight Catalyst and Research Scientist with the Future of Being Human Initiative in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and Senior Global Futures Scholar for the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University, he bridges the worlds of academia, research, and practice to creatively inform and support public-facing thinking and engagement at the interface between emerging and transformative technological capabilities and human flourishing. His visionary leadership produced the Digital Maker Studio, IgnitED Labs, and the widely acclaimed Learning Futures podcast. Globally recognized for his contributions, Dr. Leahy illuminates the path to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, emphasizing AI, XR, and IoT. His expertise spans a broad spectrum, with contributions to international journals, keynotes, and the U.S. Department of State Speaker Program. Recently, his impactful policy brief for the G20 2023 Summit in India underscored his commitment to sustainable development. Before ASU, he shaped the frontier new and emergent media production as the Head of the Media Communications Department at Webster University, the Netherlands.
